This exceptional 51 year old blend, the latest edition of the Time Series collection, is born from that respect – 51 is a regal number, symbolising family, responsibility and freedom. The youngest of the fine malt and grain Whiskies in this blend were laid down in their casks in Scotland in 1970. A remarkable testimony of Royal Salute’s unparalleled expertise at blending ultra high aged whiskies and steadfast commitment in offering only the finest liquids. To create this superb blend, our Master Blender, Sandy Hyslop, combined exceptional Whiskies from some of Scotland’s finest distilleries – amongst which are the famous Strathisla, Longmorn and Glen Keith distilleries in the heart of Speyside, and the lost distillery of Caperdonich. After over half a century of slow maturation, nurtured by the Master Blender’s intensive care and devoted attention, Time has given these precious whiskies their unique character and finest attributes. Due to the limited availability of the different whiskies that were used to craft The Time Series 51 Year Old, only 101 bottles could be crafted, making it truly limited and the finest addition to any collector’s repertoire. This treasured Royal Salute blend is housed in an exquisite hand blown and individually numbered crystal decanter and presented in a superb wooden box, with a beautifully crafted door displaying 5 layers of wood, each layer symbolising one decade in the life of the blend. An elegant carry case, housing all the precious elements of the pack and adding to the great giftability factor of this edition.
