La Maison Cointreau was founded by Edouard-Jean & Adolphe Cointreau in 1849, in Angers (Loire-Valley, France). In 1875, Edouard perfected his know-how with the creation of his ultimate orange liqueur: Cointreau was born. Cointreau Blood Orange is a liqueur obtained by the distillation of sweet & bitter oranges peels and blood oranges peels form Corsica are added and distilled. This liqueur is perfectly balanced between sweet, bitter and blood orange peels.
